DreamKeeper ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you use our DreamKeeper mobile application (the "App").

By using DreamKeeper, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Information We Collect

Information You Provide

• Dream Entries: The dreams you record, including text, voice recordings, emotions, themes, and any other data you input. This data is stored locally on your device.
• Settings & Preferences: Your app preferences, theme choices, notification settings, and alarm configurations.
• Purchase Information: If you subscribe to Premium, Apple handles all payment processing. We only receive confirmation of your subscription status, not your payment details.

Information Collected Automatically

• Crash Reports: Anonymous crash data may be collected through Apple's crash reporting to help us fix bugs. This contains no personal or dream content.
• App Analytics: We may collect anonymous usage statistics (like which features are popular) to improve the app. This data cannot identify you personally.

Information We Do NOT Collect

• We do NOT read, access, or analyze your dream content
• We do NOT collect your location data
• We do NOT collect your contacts or personal information
• We do NOT share any data with advertisers

AI Dream Analysis

DreamKeeper includes an AI-powered dream analysis feature. Here's how it works:

• AI analysis is performed entirely on-device using Apple's machine learning frameworks
• Your dream content is NOT sent to external AI services
• Analysis results are stored locally with your dream entries
• You control when to request AI analysis for each dream

How Your Data is Stored

Local Storage (Default)

By default, all your dream data is stored locally on your device using Apple's secure SwiftData framework. This means:

• Your dreams never leave your device
• We cannot access your dreams
• Your data is protected by your device's security (passcode, Face ID, Touch ID)
• If you delete the app, your local data is deleted

iCloud Sync (Optional - Premium)

Premium users can optionally enable iCloud sync. If enabled:

• Your dreams are synced through your personal iCloud account
• Data is encrypted in transit and at rest by Apple
• We still cannot access your iCloud data
• Your data syncs across your devices signed into the same Apple ID
• Apple's privacy policy governs iCloud storage

Voice Recordings

When you use voice recording:

• Audio is processed on-device using Apple's Speech framework
• Transcription happens locally on your device
• Audio recordings can be saved with your dream entry (your choice)
• We never transmit audio to external servers

Third-Party Services

Apple Services

DreamKeeper integrates with Apple services:

• App Store: For downloads and updates
• StoreKit: For in-app purchases (Apple handles payments)
• CloudKit: For optional iCloud sync (Premium)
• Speech Recognition: For voice-to-text (processed on-device)

These services are governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

We Do NOT Use

• Third-party analytics (like Google Analytics, Facebook SDK)
• Advertising networks
• External AI services
• Social login providers

Data Security

We implement appropriate security measures:

• All data is stored using Apple's secure storage frameworks
• iCloud data is encrypted by Apple
• We don't operate servers that store your dream data
• The app respects your device's security settings

Your Rights & Choices

Access Your Data

You can access all your data directly in the app. Use the Export feature to download your complete dream journal.

Delete Your Data

You can delete individual dreams or your entire journal within the app. Deleting the app removes all local data.

Control iCloud Sync

You can enable or disable iCloud sync at any time in Settings. Disabling sync does not delete data already synced.

Opt Out of Analytics

You can disable app analytics in your device's Privacy settings under Analytics & Improvements.

Children's Privacy

DreamKeeper is rated 4+ and is safe for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app does not require account creation or personal information input.

International Users

DreamKeeper is available worldwide. Your data is stored on your device or your iCloud account (if enabled). No data is transferred to our servers regardless of your location.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by:

• Posting the new policy on this page
• Updating the "Last Updated" date
• Sending an in-app notification for significant changes
